Color Mapper

Automatically Match Vector Colors to a Raster Image in Adobe Illustrator

Need to match vector colors to an original image after vectorization? Color Mapper transfers colors from a raster reference to prepared vector artwork automatically, eliminating repetitive manual color picking.

When you convert an AI-generated image, photograph, or other raster illustration into vector shapes, the resulting objects may need to be recolored to match the original image. Selecting the right color for hundreds of objects individually can be slow and tedious.

Color Mapper automates this color-matching process.

Place the vector artwork directly over the raster reference and run Color Mapper. The script samples the color beneath the center of each vector object and applies it as the object's fill.

No more matching colors for hundreds of vector objects by hand.

Use Color Mapper to

  • Transfer colors from a photograph or raster image to prepared vector shapes.
  • Automatically recolor hundreds of vector objects using an underlying image as a color reference.
  • Match vector artwork colors to a bitmap or raster reference without repeatedly using the Eyedropper tool.
  • Speed up the coloring stage of a raster-to-vector workflow.
  • Apply sampled raster colors to the fills of eligible vector objects.

Requirements

  • Adobe Illustrator 2025 or 2026.
  • macOS or Windows.
  • RGB documents only.
  • One active artboard.
  • Closed, filled vector paths or compound paths.
  • The raster reference must be placed directly below the vector layer.
  • Source layers and objects must be visible and unlocked.
  • All other layers must be hidden.

Important limitations

  • Color Mapper processes only the active artboard.
  • It changes vector fills but leaves existing strokes unchanged.
  • It does not create vector shapes or automatically trace raster images.
  • Source layers are detected automatically; there are no manual layer selectors.
  • Open, unfilled, hidden, and locked objects are not processed.

Gradient Catcher

Automatically Match Vector Gradient Colors to a Raster Reference in Adobe Illustrator

Need to recreate the colors of a photograph, texture, render, or painting in an Illustrator gradient? Gradient Catcher samples colors from a raster reference and applies them to a selected vector gradient.

Place the raster reference below a single vector path with a linear or radial gradient fill. Gradient Catcher samples colors along the gradient's direction and applies them automatically.

Keep the existing gradient stop positions or replace them with 2 to 20 evenly spaced stops. The gradient type, direction, angle, and length remain unchanged.

Use Gradient Catcher to

  • Match a linear or radial vector gradient to the colors of a photograph, texture, render, or painting.
  • Sample gradient stop colors from an underlying raster image automatically.
  • Rebuild gradient colors using 2 to 20 evenly spaced stops.
  • Replace gradient stop colors while preserving the existing gradient angle, direction, and length.
  • Reduce manual color picking when matching an Illustrator gradient to a visual reference.

Requirements

  • Adobe Illustrator 2025 or 2026.
  • macOS or Windows.
  • RGB documents are recommended for the closest color match.
  • Exactly one selected path with a linear or radial gradient fill.
  • A visible, unlocked placed or embedded raster item on the bottommost usable raster layer.
  • Every calculated sampling point must fall inside the active artboard.

Important limitations

  • Freeform gradients are not supported.
  • Groups, compound paths, text objects, strokes, and multiple selections are not processed.
  • The raster source is selected automatically. Hide, lock, or move unintended lower raster layers.
  • Transparent raster areas are rendered over white.
  • Radial gradients are sampled along their direction, not around complete circular rings.
  • Large artboards and 300 ppi analysis require more time and memory.
  • Processing is local; temporary TIFF data is removed after completion.

Swatches Maker

Extract Colors from an Image and Create an Illustrator Color Palette

Need to create a color palette from a photograph, scan, or raster image? Swatches Maker extracts representative colors and creates an organized group of Global Process Color swatches in Adobe Illustrator.

The script runs a temporary Illustrator Image Trace, combines very similar samples, prioritizes prominent and distinct colors, gently optimizes the palette, and creates a uniquely named group of Global Process Color swatches with tint support.

Choose from 5 to 100 target colors to create a compact design palette or explore a wider range of colors from your reference image.

Use Swatches Maker to

  • Extract colors from a photograph, scan, or raster image.
  • Create an Illustrator color palette from an image.
  • Generate color swatches from a picture without creating each swatch manually.
  • Create a group of Global Process Color swatches with tint support.
  • Build a palette of 5 to 100 target colors for illustration and design work.

Requirements

  • Adobe Illustrator 2025 or 2026.
  • macOS or Windows.
  • RGB documents only.
  • Exactly one selected placed or embedded raster image.
  • The image must be visible and unlocked.

Important limitations

  • The selected color count is a maximum target; the actual palette may contain fewer colors.
  • White and dominant background colors can be included. Crop unwanted areas before processing.
  • Output uses RGB Global Process Colors; review color conversion for CMYK work.
  • There is no preview or manual color editing inside the dialog.
  • High color counts and detailed images can take longer to process.

Batch Exporter

Batch Export Multiple Artboards and Illustrator Files to PNG, JPEG, SVG, EPS, and PDF

Need to export every artboard from an Illustrator document or batch-export an entire folder of files? Batch Exporter automates repetitive export operations and organizes the resulting files into a structured output.

The script processes one AI/EPS document or a folder of documents and exports every artboard to any selected combination of PNG, JPEG, SVG, EPS 10, and A4 PDF.

Use one run to create consistently named files and organize the results together, by format, or by source document.

Raster size, SVG precision, EPS options, PDF layout, conflict handling, and output structure are controlled from one dialog.

Use Batch Exporter to

  • Export all artboards from an Illustrator document in one operation.
  • Batch-export multiple AI or EPS files from a folder.
  • Save every artboard as a separate image file with matching names.
  • Export artwork to PNG, JPEG, SVG, EPS 10, and PDF.
  • Export PNG or JPEG at 72, 150, or 300 ppi, or at a fixed pixel width.

Artboard Fitter

Automatically Fit and Center Artwork on Illustrator Artboards Without Distortion

Need to resize artwork to fit an artboard while preserving its proportions? Artboard Fitter scales and centers eligible artwork within the available area, using separate horizontal and vertical margins.

The script collects eligible artwork on each selected artboard, groups it, calculates the available area after applying the specified margins, scales the group proportionally, and centers it.

Choose whether smaller artwork may be enlarged and whether stroke widths should scale with the artwork. Process one active artboard or a complete multi-artboard document in one run.

Use Artboard Fitter to

  • Fit vector illustrations and other eligible artwork to an artboard without distorting their proportions.
  • Scale and center compositions with consistent margins.
  • Add horizontal and vertical padding around artwork on each artboard.
  • Resize illustrations to fit multiple artboards in a single document.
  • Standardize artwork placement and margins across a series of compositions.

Requirements

  • Adobe Illustrator 2025 or 2026.
  • macOS or Windows.
  • An open document with at least one artboard.
  • Eligible artwork must be visible, unlocked, and inside visible, unlocked layers or sublayers.

Important limitations

  • Each composition becomes an Artboard Fitter Group. Artwork from different layers may be moved into one group.
  • Assignment is based on the center of the object's geometric bounds.
  • Left and right share one margin value; top and bottom share another. Four independent margins are not available.
  • Margins are empty or transparent space; the script does not create a background.
  • Hidden, locked, guide, and out-of-artboard-center objects are skipped.
  • Keep Scale stroke widths enabled for the most consistent visible margins.

Artboard Placer

Automatically Position Artwork at Exact Coordinates or Center It on Illustrator Artboards

Need to position artwork consistently across multiple artboards? Artboard Placer moves eligible artwork to a precise X/Y position relative to each artboard or places it directly at the artboard center.

The script supports nine object reference points and can process the active artboard or the entire document.

When an artboard contains several top-level objects, the script can group them first and move the complete composition together.

Use Artboard Placer to

  • Move artwork to exact X/Y coordinates on each artboard.
  • Center objects or compositions across multiple artboards.
  • Position artwork using any of nine object reference points.
  • Group eligible objects on each artboard and move the composition as one unit.

Important limitations

  • X/Y coordinates start at each artboard's top-left corner. X increases to the right and Y increases downward.
  • Object assignment is based on the center of geometric bounds.
  • With grouping disabled, only the first eligible root object on each artboard is moved.
  • Geometric bounds do not include the full appearance of strokes or live effects.
  • Overlapping artboards can affect object assignment.
  • Grouping changes the document structure. There is no preview or built-in rollback.
  • Exact supported Illustrator and operating-system version ranges are not independently confirmed in the guide.

Tiny Merger

Automatically Merge Tiny Vector Shapes into Larger Neighboring Color Regions

Need to clean up vector illustrations containing tiny enclosed color areas or specks? Tiny Merger identifies small closed filled paths and merges eligible shapes into larger neighboring shapes when they share a suitable boundary.

The script detects small shapes by area and optional maximum dimensions. It compares actual Bezier boundaries, finds a larger neighbor on the same layer with the longest exact shared edge, and applies Pathfinder Unite only to verified temporary copies.

Process selected objects, the active artboard, or all artboards. Analyze the planned cleanup before changing the artwork.

Use Tiny Merger to

  • Remove tiny enclosed color regions and specks from vector illustrations.
  • Merge small closed vector shapes into larger neighboring shapes.
  • Clean up traced vector artwork containing many small color zones.
  • Identify potential merges before modifying the original artwork.
